Opportunities for family physicians exist to join established practices in the growing vibrant community of Brantford. Located in the picturesque Grand River Valley, 20 minutes west of Hamilton, the community offers outstanding recreational opportunities including endless biking and hiking trails in an unmatched natural playground. Brantford was named by Maclean’s magazine as the “best city in Canada to buy real estate” in April 2018.

This mid-sized community hosts a leading edge community Hospital and is a teaching hub for McMaster University medical education as a part of the Grand Erie Six Nations CEC. The Brant Community Healthcare System offers a 260-bed acute care facility with state of the art programs and specialists that support primary in the community. A variety of family practice service models exist in the community including turn-key operations in Family Health Organization (FHO) models, group practices, and community health centres. Opportunities in the hospital include acute and post acute hospitalist work, surgical assisting as well as some emergency department work (EM designation required or equivalent experience required).
