Neurologist and Nova Scotia Health Authority clash over Hospital rights.

A Neurologist from Montreal who does freqent locums in the South Shore region of Nova Scotia has been temporarily blocked from his hospital privileges, but that may all soon change. This physician was granted licensure for two weeks per month for the past few years, but for some unknown reason, his privileges were blocked by the Nova Scotia Health Authority. This has all changed with an email sent to the physician because of an administration glitch. With the assistance of the recruitment manager at NL Medical, Canada’s leading physician recruitment firm,  who works across the country and mostly in Atlantic Canada, they were able to expedite the process and have his licensure reinstated. The spokesperson, Warren Bonnell was quoted as saying ” occassionaly there  are issues with a physician but this was an administrative error. ” Thankfully the physician will be back practicing in Nova Scotia by June of 2016.
