A Toronto Ontario physician has been hired to develop video’s with a medical message. his name is Dr. Mike Evans and he has been an internet sensation through his animated and simple messaging. He has been using Youtube to get his message across and it’s working – with nearly 150,000 views on several of his video’s he says the way we interact and engage with the patient to get the message across is changing. He sees Healthcare as being more virtual in many ways – so the patient comes in with a complaint and they leave with a prescription maybe but more certain they will be them leaving with an app on a smart phone that will allow them to be more involved in the care of themselves to the degree in how much they rely on the app for getting better.  With his new collaboration with Apple, we can be sure that mobile health apps will be ever increasing in simplicity and popularity.
