Pediatric Anesthesiologist (4 month locum) – St. John’s Newfoundland Canada

Eastern Health and the Division of Pediatric Anesthesiology at the Janeway Children’s Health and Rehabilation Centre, in St. John’s Newfoundland, Canada is seeking a Pediatric Anesthesiologist for a 4 month locum starting in March 2012.

This Children’s Health and Rehabilation Centre is a 71 bed, tertiary care referral hospital. The Pediatric Residency Program is high profile in the province and is affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine, Memorial University of Newfoundland. Please note; Pediatric sub-specialties are available and represented.

Essential Credentials:
Certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and/or American Board certification in Pediatric Anesthesiology or the equivalent is a requirement in addition to fellowship or extensive work experience. All candidates must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons on Newfoundland and Labrador. And the call ratio is reasonable. Medical Director, Pediatric Surgery Services Randall Children’s Hospital Portland, Oregon, U.S.A.

Randall Children’s Hospital at Legacy Emanuel is currently recruiting for a Pediatric General Surgeon to provide medical direction and leadership to a growing pediatric surgical division as well as maintain a pediatric surgical practice. Current surgical services include pediatric heart, neurosurgery, urology, orthopedic and general surgery, and includes minimally invasive and robotics. The Medical Director will be offered an academic faculty appointment at Oregon Health Sciences University and collaborate in training, education and call coverage.

The ideal candidate will be Board Certified and have demonstrated experience in leadership as well as clinical experience as a general pediatric surgeon.

Health Authority in Newfoundland seeks Infectious Disease Specialist.

This Regional Health Authority is seeking all applicants for the position of Infectious Disease specialist. Ideally, the successful applicant will be willing to participate in providing clinical care in Infectious Disease for this Health Authority. Highlights of this position will be a close affiliation with Atlantic Canada’s largest and most comprehensive University with it’s own Medical School. And the opportunity will exist for teaching both at the graduate and undergraduate level as well as engaging in research and continuing medical education (CME’s).

Qualifications:
Applicants must hold an MD degree, an FRCPC in Internal Medicine or equivalent, and be eligible for licensure within the the Province of Newfoundland and Labrador.
